Position description
To perform workshop activities repairing and overhauling all types of engine and other component. Complete tasks from beginning to end including incoming inspection, cleaning, evaluating, making recommendations for repair, compiling list of spare parts and estimating hours on scope of work. Repair components as required and complete all necessary reports and pack ready for shipping. Leading jobs and training of other employees may also be required. Working to the Wartsila quality, safety and environmental procedures is required.
Requirements
Candidate should have completed marine engineering or Mechanical apprentice program with a minimum 4 years work experience.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Good time management skills
Good communication skills Post secondary training in engine overhaul and maintenance 4 years in Marine or mechanical field.
Previous Wartsila UD23 and 602 experience would be an asset
