Permanent, Full-Time Position

POSITION PROFILE

Reporting to the Program Manager, the Customer Support Engineer:Coordinates and schedules technical support work with Field Service Representatives (FSR);

Handles and coordinates change requests and ensures that they are actioned in a timely manner;
Coordinates software releases with the software technical lead;
Handles software-related change request/updates;
Handles regular change request reviews with customers;
Contributes to software development test procedures and collaborates with software developers;
Ensures implementation of technical updates;
Prepares technical proposals for new upgrades;
Develops and tests quality control procedures for FSR activities;
Responsible for configuration management initiatives and conducts studies for customers for new initiatives;
Coordinates/handles activities in reference to hardware obsolescence.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent;
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience;
Experience with software development and management of software related issues;
Control systems experience;
Naval vessel knowledge is an asset;
Cyber Security knowledge is an asset;
Strong oral and written communication skills in French & English;
Organized and willing to take initiative.
