Seattle based company Glacier Fish has an opening for Marine Electrician onboard one of our At Sea Catcher Processors, working approximately 6-8 months per year, both at sea and in port. Work at sea is crewshare based, in port is paid at competitive hourly rate with room and board provided. JOB DESCRIPTION: The position is responsible for all electrical systems onboard including but not limited to; power generation systems, power distribution systems, engine room systems, fish processing systems, hotel systems, bridge systems and deck systems. Must demonstrate safe work practices in all operations.

• Must be experienced in both AC and DC power generation systems.
• Must be comfortable in troubleshooting both AC and DC systems.
• Experience with PLC based control systems/
• Works directly with Chief Engineer to ensure that all electrical systems are operational and safe for all personnel.
• Must have a working knowledge of refrigeration and electro-hydraulic control systems and fish processing systems.
• Experience in basic electronic troubleshooting practices a plus.
• Experience in fiber optics and LAN is a plus.
• Must have experience in Lock Out/Tag Out programs.
• Works with the Chief Engineer in order to keep the electrical systems in compliance with all government and classification regulations. This includes U.S.C.G., DNV, FCC, OSHA.
• Experience in interacting with classification and government agency inspections is a plus.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
