Temporary Marine Chief Engineer

We are looking for a temporary marine Chief Engineer interested to do short term relief contracts onboard the vessels of our fleet.

Reporting to the Marine Management, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the administration of the Engine Department, for the safe, efficient and economical operation of all machinery throughout the vessel and for the maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

Transport Canada First Class Motor Certification (STCW 95);
Vessel Personnel with Security Duties Proficiency;
Valid Marine Emergency Duties Certification;
Valid Transport Canada Medical;
Minimum 5 years experience as Chief Engineer;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Bilingual (English & French);
Excellent leadership, supervision and planning skills;
Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Our vessels complete weekly runs into and out of St. John’s, NL from the ports of Halifax or Montreal and our regular rotations are 28/28.
