Managing Director Canada & Head of Hub Engines & Marine Systems (m/f) Tasks
Lead the activities of MAN Diesel & Turbo in Canada with a specific Sales focus on Engines & Marine Systems as a Hub Leader
Work closely with the Strategic Business Units to design the business plan including short and long-range goals as well as the strategic road map – incorporating all budgeting and milestones – and then lead the plan to successful implementation
Promote MAN Diesel & Turbo products and services as local representative
Manage the local MAN Diesel & Turbo organization to profitable revenue growth and satisfy customers demands by identifying business opportunities
Be responsible for the overall business planning, including short- and long-term goals as well as strategic road mapping for MAN Diesel & Turbo in Canada
Review, on a routine basis, activity and financial performance and compare with the targeted business plan
Establish and maintain close relationship with local customers
Respond to any contract fulfillment matters
Execute maintenance and service assignments
Drive continuous improvement processes
Qualifications
University degree in Business and/or Engineering, preferably Master’s degree
Experienced sales professional with a strong background in sales and after sales business
Familiarity with power, diesel engines and/or shipping or other heavy equipment industries, experience in running businesses with direct P&L responsibility
Intercultural competence as well as experience in working and living in Canada
Proven, visible, open and engaging leadership style
Strong written and verbal communication skills and be a clear, strategic thinker
Effective, professional negotiation skills, fluency in English language
