POSITION: 3rd Engineer (Marine)

Responsibilities:
Report to 2nd Engineer
Comply with Chief Engineers standing orders
Perform watchkeeping duties in the Engine room
Responsible for the cleanliness, organization and proper functioning of the equipment
Ensure Engine Logbook and Oil Logbook are updated
Perform routine and scheduled maintenance on equipment
Assist in inventory control of spare parts
Assist in the refuelling operations, receiving lubricant, fresh water and other supplies

Requirements:

3rd Class Engineering license
Seaman’s discharge book
STCW Basic Safety – must be completed/renewed within the past 5 years
STCW Survival craft other than a fast rescue craft - must be completed/renewed within the past 5 years
STCW Advanced Fire Fighting- must be completed or renewed within the past 5 years
Security Awareness with designated duties
Valid medical
Marine Basic First Aid
Fast Rescue Boat
Passport
WHMIS
