Dock Supervisor/Maintenance Engineer

Catherwood Towing Ltd. is a marine towing company operating on the Fraser River, throughout the west coast of British Columbia, and on several in-land waterways. We operate several tugs towing raw logs, construction aggregate, dangerous goods and everything in between 24 hours a day.

Qualifications:
TQ (Millwright), 4th Class Engineer (Motor Ship), Heavy Duty Mechanic or equivalent work experience.
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair the following as they relate to ship systems:
Marine Diesel Engine (Caterpillar/Cummins), Hydraulics, AC/DC Systems.
Additional Skills Required (Basic):
Plumbing, Welding, Paint Application, Fabrication.

Additional Duties:
Working with the Marine Superintendent/Maintenance Supervisor candidate must be able to schedule repairs, order parts and materials requested by vessels, handle fuel transfers and keep facility neat and orderly. Basic computers skills are a must. As commuting to various job sites may be required, a valid driver licence is a requirement.

The position is available as of February 27, 2017.
