Make sure you have a discharge book and make sure you are signed on as "Electrician", that way, you'll get credit for ETO Certification when the STCW 2010 Regulations come into force. Do NOT accept the BC ferries piece of paper, get a discharge book! It took a threat of Court action against the CEO (CSA 2001) of DC Ferries to get sea service for an ERR toward his 4th class. I got it in full detail. Do NOT assume BC ferries will log your sea service, get a discharge book and have it signed by the Chief and Master. You will need that to be certified as Electro Technical Officer, see Ship Safety Bulletin 05/2017 relevant to Engine room Officers and Ratings.
Discourage incest, ban country "music".
