It should be noted that sea service as Junior watchkeeper, or Junior Engineer, no longer counts for upgrading Certificates. Only time as Engineer In Charge of a Watch will count.

Any ideas about work environnement, wages, etc... . is it worth to move there from Quebec?

2nd class as junior???Good luck they have been looking for years but Canadians seldom get hired.....

i hear from friends that BCF are desperate for 1st & 2nd class Coc but when you apply expect to wait 2-3 months before they contact you, then expect the person calling has not even bothered to read you resume (twice they did not know what Coc I had) and then to top it off they might offer you an ERA (oiler) position because you are not as I've been told repeatedly "Not BCF's qualified".
