Job Summary

With unmatched industry experience, Heddle Marine Service Inc. is Canada's leading marine repair facility, which delivers innovative, customer-focused solutions.

Currently, we have an opening for a Certified Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, or Marine Engineer at our St Catharines location.

The successful applicant will inspect, repair, replace, install/connect, adjust, align, and maintain bearings, gears, shafts, motors, and couplings and belts to precise tolerances. Ideally, the incumbent will have three to five years of experience in at least three of the five following areas:

reading diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures,
operating rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts,
fitting bearings, aligning gears and shafts, attaching motors, and connecting couplings and belts to precise tolerances,
repairing or replacing defective parts, and
servicing and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The incumbent will also:

have the standing of Industrial Mechanic Millwright Certificate of Qualification (433A), 3rd/4th year apprentice, or 2nd Class Marine Engineer;
have a valid Ontario Driver's license;
be capable of safely performing physically demanding work (inside & outside), working at heights, and working in confined spaces.
