Pump Operator (4)

Canada Pump and Power Corporation is an Alberta Company who specializes in Marine Industrial Services like Dredging, Pumping, Barging, and Diving.

Job Duties:

Maintain Pumping System and perform hourly equipment and system check
Perform equipment and systems isolation
Conduct regular fueling and fluid checks
Conduct scheduled servicing of equipment
Inspect worksite on an ongoing and daily basis
Report required maintenance or deficiencies and perform required housekeeping
Pre-inspect and operate a pickup truck to and from various locations on worksite
Follow company processes and company Safe Work Procedures and Practices
Perform Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA)
Maintain hourly pump performance logs and jobsite specific logbook
Conduct pre-use equipment inspections

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age and possess high school diploma or equivalent
Must be fluent in English (verbal and written)
Must possess a class 5 driver’s license and provide a 3 year acceptable driver's abstract
Must participate and pass pre-employment physical fitness assessment, drugs & alcohol testing, criminal record check
Must possess CSTS-09 and OSSA or BSO
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in pumping systems
Pass the Pumps 100 course given at interview
Experience at Alberta Oil Sands Sites considered an asset

The position is in Fort McMurray on the Kearl Lake site, shift 7 on / 7 off rotation, in camp.

Shift Supervisor

Canada Pump and Power Corporation is an Alberta based company that specializes in dive, dredge, barge, and pump Marine Industrial Services

The Shift Supervisor coordinates all field activities in a specific department; Participates in safety meetings, toolbox talks and site inspections; conducts regular operations meetings with customers; coordinates incident investigations with the safety department and reviews the incident and corrective measures with employees; actively participates in job planning and execution; and provides input into Employee Performance reviews, disciplinary actions and terminations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible to ensure all personnel follow company processes and company Safe Work Procedures and Practices
Responsible to ensure all Personnel work within company, customer, and other existing standards and regulations pertaining to the scope of work
Responsible for document management of FLRA's, JHA's, log books, and equipment inspections to ensure accurate completion and submission
Responsible to conduct daily toolbox meetings, attend daily planning meeting and schedule manpower appropriately, and to review incidents and corrective actions with employees
Responsible to coordinate daily field activities, conduct work-site inspections, and for ensuring all equipment is repaired and serviced
Responsible to assist the Safety Department with incident investigations and to provide employee performance feedback

Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent
Must successfully complete CPP's Pumps 100, 101, 201, and 301 courses
Must have previous Supervisory experience
Must have demonstrated knowledge and experience of oil and gas field work
Must have exceptional verbal and written skills
Must have or have the ability to obtain the CSTS-09, OSSA, or BSO, CPR- C, TDG, HEI/LOTO, and WHMIS certifications
Must have a class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Must be able to successfully pass a site specific orientation(s)
Knowledge of permits and work site investigations is considered an asset
Knowledge of Global Harmonized System (GHS) is considered an asset
Completion of ACSA’s Leadership for Safety Excellence is considered an asset
Must participate and pass screening tests for drugs, alcohol, and other controlled substances
Must pass a physical fitness assessment
