Responsibilities
Prepares work plans to be scheduled by the Manager and/or delegates to support the delivery of effective and compliant maintenance practices including the effective use of labour, minimizing equipment down time, validating parts inventory, and avoiding conflicting facility and labour requirements. Develops and supports the implementation of daily maintenance work plans and schedules. Prepares and reviews work orders, fault reports and maintenance records to ensure compliance with approved maintenance schedule. Analyzes work orders and monitors work plan performance reviews with the Manager and/or delegates and makes adjustments to improve the performance of the work plans. Schedules and tracks special and regulatory maintenance or upgrading tasks into regular maintenance work plan and analyses maintenance and life cycle costs to prepare repair/replacement recommendations.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Hold a BC or Inter-provincial TQ in a trade or a certificate of competency of at least 4th Class Engineer (Motorship), together with short courses in maintenance planning and scheduling, and competent in the use of computers and maintenance management software.

EXPERIENCE
Requires up to four (4) years related experience in marine maintenance, regulatory requirements, and knowledge of maintenance planning processes and procedures, including exposure to detailed knowledge of fleet maintenance systems and life cycle costing. A further period of up to one (1) year is required in the position to become familiar with CMBC maintenance planning procedures and systems.

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Work Schedule
37.5 hours per week

Rate of Pay
Group: 10
Salary:$5,835 to $7,004 per month ($35.78 to $42.95 per hour)
