Exciting opportunities currently exist with BC Ferries to be part of our Northern Coast crew. If you hold a minimum 3rd class motor certificate, like variety in your work schedule and have some flexibility to travel to one of our coastal communities for short periods of time, this could be the perfect role. Based out of our Little River terminal in the Comox valley, you will have an opportunity to train on various vessels including our newest; the Salish class which are dual fuel and state of the art. The successful applicant is a passionate, innovative engineer who brings the technical, interpersonal, developmental, administrative and leadership skills as well as the experience required for safe and efficient management and operation of the ship’s machinery and equipment. You are committed to the Company’s vision and values including safety, exceeding customer expectations and performance efficiency. Your experience includes proficiency in marine engineering with relevant operating systems and a demonstrated knowledge in safe work practices, leadership & development of employees and an understanding of financial and budget processes.

Interested employees holding a Transport Canada 3rd & 2nd Class Motor Certificate and must obtain a valid a Seafarers’ medical prior to commencing employment and considered for this opportunity based on meeting the qualifications, experience and suitability requirements determined by the Company.
