Marine Engineer (contract)
Maple Leaf Adventures - Victoria, BC
Full-time, Contract

Marine Engineer (contracts)
- Refit, commissioning and into service of ecotourism vessel

This intermediate-level position, at a growing small business, is the ideal choice for an engineer that likes to take on new, hands-on projects, and work with a tight-knit team. Additionally, there is an opportunity to become part of the vessel’s crew, and explore the BC coast while working as an engineer aboard.

If you’re ready for responsibility as a key member in an exciting organization, we’d like to talk.

Position Summary

There are two parts to this contract:

Relief Engineer on vessel during ecotourism operations – Starts at a later date.
Optionally, the position could become fulltime with ongoing vessel maintenance for the right candidate.

Ideally, the same candidate will fill both of the first two contracts above, but we will consider a candidate interested in just the refit, commissioning and into service work.

The on-board work includes responsibility for the operation and maintenance of all of these systems.

The refit, commissioning and into service role is based in Victoria, BC. The on-board role will include several months onboard the 500-tonne vessel on the coast of BC during the operating season, on a month on/month off basis.
