TC 1st Class for tug in Tuk

Post by The Dieselduck »

As you may be aware-we have a contract with the Northwest Territories government to crew their fleet of tugs and barges that trade up the Mackenzie/western Beaufort with sealift for communities along the coast as well as supporting mining ops.

In any case we are looking for a Ch Eng to join M/V Kotokak high horse power/low free board likely somewhere in the vicinity of Tuktoyaktuk. The vessel is currently waiting on a tanker which it will lighter and likely discharge. After that the vessel is headed to Alaska for a short job, because the vessel is not trading near coastal waters we require a ch eng cert on board for the Alaska trip-magnitude a week commencing roughly this month end Aug 31. Because there is probably 2 days travel each way, we will pay you door to door.

We are working under Canadian Merchant Service Guild on these vessels and the dayrate for Ch Eng is $640 CDN-with possible additional funds in OT. The crew on board have long term attachment to the vessel and ops so this is a good operation. In the event you would like to stay longer than a week, I expect there are some options there to extend. If you have interest /availability/additional queries, pls get in touch asap.

Best Regards A/C
