We are currently recruiting for a Marine Manager for our Marine department based at our sawmill in Castlegar, BC. The Marine Manager will be responsible for managing our Arrow Lakes marine activities and have a strong commitment to safety.

What You'll Do

Lead the Marine department and optimize operational efficiencies.
Demonstrating leadership in complying with safety and environmental requirements.
Strong organizational skill and administering collective agreement.
Budgeting and scheduling.

What You Offer

Experience in a union environment.
Log towing expertise.
Knowledge of marine vessels.
Familiar with Transport Canada marine regulations.
Supervisory experience.
Must have a Class 5 driver’s license.
Strong safety leadership.
Familiarity with towing, booming, rafting and marine vessels.
Self-motivated and highly organized.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Thrives in a team based, results oriented environment.
Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Ability to maintain effective relationships with government agencies, contractors, suppliers, First Nations and stakeholders.
