Position Overview Reporting to the Dean, Centre for Marine Training and Research, the incumbent delivers courses in the Marine Engineering Technology Program. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Duties and Responsibilities

Deliver appropriate curriculum for one more of the following courses in the Marine Engineering Technology program:
Shipmasters Business for Engineers
Curriculum development based on Transport Canada regulations and IMO standards
Incorporating a variety of teaching / learning strategies to meet student needs
Evaluating and reporting student progress / achievement
Participating in program and college activities as required
Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment

Qualifications

2nd Class Marine Engineer or higher certification with Transport Canada
Post-Secondary diploma or degree in marine engineering field
Teaching and Training Adults certification and / or experience in a teaching or training capacity
Computer Skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Commitment to life-long learning
