As the National Service Manager, you will be responsible for developing, fostering and organizing the technical organization to capture current and future market opportunities, as well as augmenting the team behind the strategy.

Key Performance Objectives:

Manage the profitability, customer relationships, and service team for MAN Canada with workshops in Halifax and Vancouver, and service jobs occurring throughout the country. Double the existing revenue from 6 to 12 million euros within three years

Create an engaged and effective team of ten service technicians, in which members show mutual respect, share a sense of purpose, and able to perform work suited to their strengths

Create lines of cooperation and effective communication to team members, peers and stakeholders at MAN Canada and the relevant service hubs

Establish contact with top five customers to understand MAN Canada’s strengths and weaknesses of the service organization

Prioritize areas of improvement in the workshop and Service Team (i.e. organize for improved efficiency)

Prepare ISO certification of the service organization for the 2021 year

Secure profitability of the service jobs by evaluating both pre and post-calculation and implement corrective actions securing margin levels that are not eroded as the jobs are completed

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

A strong technical understanding of workshops and field service jobs so that employees can effectively discuss related issues / challenges with the service team

Strong mechanical background from the industry to support the Service Engineers

Understands the economical drivers of running a service organization

Bachelors Degree in a related field

Experience with implementing organizational change

8 to 10 years of proven leadership experience and team building
