Atlantic Towing Limited is a well-established Marine Company with a diverse fleet of Harbour, Coastal/Deep Sea Tugs, and Offshore Supply Vessels with locations in Saint John, New Brunswick, Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John's, Newfoundland.

Atlantic Towing Limited is currently accepting applications for the position of Crewing Manager to join our dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick.

The Crewing Manager is responsible for handling aspects of Crew Management by providing crew manning and support for all vessels by ensuring crew are within the legal guidelines of the vessel, rank, qualifications, and medical certificates.

Responsibilities are as follows but not limited to :

Develop, maintain and improve manning pools;
Address and solve crew issues in close cooperation with Operations and Crewing Coordinators;
Ensure that each vessel operated by our Company is manned with qualified seafarers in accordance with the defined crewing and vessel policies and procedures;
Establish and execute annual crew plans and budgets in cooperation with Operations and Human Resources as you anticipate future company and crew developments;
Through your department you ensure the control of documents (i.e. certificates) of seagoing personnel, appraisal process on seafarers’ performance and identify training needs of seafarers;
Establish and maintain seafarers’ training and development plans;
Accountable for the implementation of MLC 2006 and the Crewing Department procedures as planned and executed by the Crewing Department;
Must be able to work flexible hours and on an on-call basis;
Travel may be required;

Qualifications include:
Successful completion of post-secondary education in addition to Marine experience;
Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
Working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint);
Ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment;
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments in order to meet deadlines in a very demanding environment;
Excellent presentation and facilitation skills;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff;
A team player with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, able to respect and deal with highly confidential and sensitive issues;
Ability to analyze problems/opportunities for efficiencies and make recommendations for improvements;
