We are now in an important stage of growth and are looking for talented individuals to bring skills and abilities to one of Canada's largest marine engineering integrators as we lead the way in Canadian naval defense contracts (In Service Support) and new government ship design and support; including warships, ferries, ice-breakers and commercial vessels.


We are looking for qualified Senior Engineers. These positions are based in our Ottawa, Ontario office.

Our Senior Engineers are a critical component of the Fleetway Team that provides engineering and consulting services to both the Government and Commercial sector including the Canadian Navy.

They are respected in the industry through their proven hands-on experience in marine engineering environments as well as their ability to provide solutions to client engineering design challenges.

Qualifications:
Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Mechanical or Marine Electrical Engineering
15+ years proven hands-on experiece in Naval Architecture, Marine Mechanical or Marine Electrical Engineering design/ integration projects
10+ years of related experiece in Naval Warship engineering projects
10+ years project management of ship designs and options analysis studies
P.Eng
Experience leading a team of Engineers
Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian government security clearances

Sr. Naval Architect Engineer - Key Responsibilities:
Developing technical studies, drawings, and specifications for government and commercial vessels
Report writing and equipment selection
Performing structural design and analysis
Incorporating Engineering Changes into existing designs
Working on systems integration projects
Stability and seakeeping analysis
Production of ship design and naval architectural related studies, standards and procedures.
Lead, coordinate, and review projects and the work of other engineers and/or engineering technologists

Sr. Mechanical Engineer - Responsibilities:
Developing technical studies, drawings, surveys and specifications for government and commercial vessels
Report writing and equipment selection
Performing engineering design for auxiliary systems
Incorporating Engineering Changes into existing designs
Working on systems integration projects
Conduct engineering analysis (systems and/or structures) in support of various studies
Analyze and prepare engineering changes to naval ships, systems and equipment
Provide technical input to engineering specifications and drawings
Liaise with shipboard personnel
Lead a team to provide the best possible customer service
Work with business line to expand business opportunities

Sr. Combat Systems Engineer - Responsibilities:
Developing technical studies, drawings and specifications for government and commercial vessels
Report writing and equipment selection
Write and understand the importance of "Through Life Management Plans" (TLMP)
Performing engineering design changes on electrical systems
Incorporating Engineering Changes into existing designs
Working on systems integration projects
Conducting power and communication systems analyses
Conducting voltage Drop and Short circuit current calculations
