POSITION: 2nd Engineer (Marine)

DATE: April 2017

Responsibilities:

Comply with Chief Engineers standing orders
Supervise engine room crew
Inspect the conditions of the premises in the Engine Room, ensuring cleanliness, organization and proper functioning of the equipment
Ensure Engine Logbook and Oil Logbook are updated
Supervise routine and scheduled maintenance on equipment under your responsibility
Perform watchkeeping duties
Supervise the training of new crew members and cadets
Manage the control inventory of spare parts
Supervise the receipt and control of fuel, lubricant, fresh water and other supplies

Requirements:

2nd Class Engineering license
Seaman’s discharge book
STCW Basic Safety – must be completed/renewed within the past 5 years
STCW Survival craft other than a fast rescue craft - must be completed/renewed within the past 5 years
STCW Advanced Fire Fighting- must be completed or renewed within the past 5 years
Security Awareness with designated duties
Valid medical
Marine Basic First Aid
Fast Rescue Boat
Passport
WHMIS

I’m Humberto Pimentel with First Engineer Certification STCW 2010. I have 10 years of experience and actually onboard of Drilling Rig "S.S.D.R. Bicentenario" 6th generation DP3 of Grupo R as 3rd Engineer, I’ve been working in different kinds of ships as First engineer and second engineer, even as chief engineer in small ships, I interesting to get some opportunity of job in your company, thanks for your time.

Hello Humberto, offshore oil and gas positions are generally only open to some residents of Newfoundland, some of Nova Scotia, not even the rest of Canada. If you think you qualify, please apply using the link included in the post.
