Be a part of this epic voyage!

Northern Crewing Agency Inc. is looking for a 2nd and 3rd Class Engineer - Motor Ship for seasonal work on the Polar Prince. We are currently working with the Students on Ice Foundation on the Canada C3 Project.

This project is a once in a lifetime expedition from Toronto to Victoria via North West Passage in a celebration of Canada. Onboard will be upwards of 150 remarkable Canadians representing a cross section of society including youth, elders, newcomers, scientists, educators, artists, musicians, business leaders, the media, political and indigenous leaders. These participants will divide into 15, 10 day legs and will be the lens through which the rest of Canada will experience the journey.

The Polar Prince is a 5333 horsepower medium duty icebreaker (Diesel/Electric), formally the CGG Sir Humphrey Gilbert. Electrical Experience would be an asset.

Requirements:

Second or Third Class Engineer, Motor Ship
Marine Advanced First Aid
Marine Medical
Passport
MED - STCW Basic Safety
MED - STCW Survival craft other than a fast rescue craft
MED -STCW Advanced Fire Fighting
Ship Security Officer or Designated Security Duties

Wow they must have forgotten they would need engineers.Its already underway.I bet they had the captain and mates lined up a long time ago.
