I always check the escape routes on planes before I take off, and size up who's in-between me and my closest escape haha

I sailed with an Electrician many years ago, who was in the RN during the Falklands War, and he said that even trained RN crews were so shocked and dis orientated after being on the receiving end of major air attacks that the Navy replaced the crews, as soon as possible after the initial Damage Control had ensured the survival of the ship.

Socks and sandals, total turn off haha

I've found in 'disaster' situations everything seems to go slow mo and my focus goes into tunnel vision.
What I have to work with, essentials, fuck the rest, deal with task at hand, minimize damage/mitigate risk.
Clearly that process must have been knocked in my head from MEDs or something.
You never know how you'll react in a crazy situation until you're in one...

This is why training is so important. Repetitive training ensures that when the caca hits the ventilator, you do the right thing without thinking about it. You get past the "brain freeze" before you are aware of it and just do it.
Discourage incest, ban country "music".
