Different I have to say.
Interesting to note that in the age of high technology the Cofferdams were bare metal and most of the chainblock operations shown were handraulic and not electric.
But the million dollar question that needs answering remains unsolved.
How much and who paid.
The roller race manufacturer or ABB?
Or maybe the seals manufacturer?
Water ingress?
Bearing wear, shaft drops down onto the seal lip, result?
Water ingress.
More insurance co spanking again?
Dread to think of ABB's excess on their policy.
Big, big Megga bucks here methinks.
Heading up to hundred million perhaps?
I see she is now currently once again for the third time running at reduced speeds owing yet again to " propulsion problems "
I further note that some of the new builds are back on shafts not Anzipods.
Booked up for Freeport again for dry docking.
Well I suppose the purpose built cofferdams got lonely or was it a case of third one free?
What's next in the Anzipod world methinks.

This was a very expensive docking. Notice the windings when they disassembled the azipod? what happened to KISS?

Windings appeared to be dry.
Noticed it was a unit change and not just the bearing on its own.
Speed up the turnaround and back in the water quicker.
See the ship is in trouble again with "propulsion problems " and running at reduced speeds.
Booked back in the same dry dock again.
