Just wanted to thank you for your story and great pictures of the broken exhaust valve. I shared it with the rest of my engine room crew, made for some good discussion while on watch. Keep up the great web site.

Thanks for the comment. I had that web page idea on the back burner (along with many other) so its nice to see it came out pretty good and is appreciated.
On that ship this type of thing was not unusual, not because of lack of attention, its just that the ship was always being worked hard. It was a very good learning experience for me, and I have fond memories of my time there.... which is the subject of a photo essay I plan to do in the near future.
