Full job description
We are looking for a relief Chief Engineer for one of our vessels sailing from Montreal, QC to St-John’s, NL. Reporting to the marine superintendent, the Chief Engineer is responsible for the administration of the Engine Department, for the safe, efficient and economical operation of all machinery throughout the vessel, for the maintenance of equipment and the management of engine room personnel.
Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience as Chief Engineer;
Canadian First-Class Engineer, Motor Ship Certification (STCW 95) mandatory.


Skills

Excellent leadership, supervision and planning skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
Capacity to work under pressure;
Billingual English and French.


Working conditions
We offer excellent and competitive work conditions on high technology vessels and regular schedule 28/28.
We offer competitive wages. Continuous salary, 100% paid leave.
Status: temporary, undetermined period
