Just wondering,
With a tailshaft that is lined with a bronze liner, how thick does the liner have to be (for example for a shaft of 12" diameter)?

3.9 Bronze of gunmetal liners on shafts
3.9.1 The thickness t of liners fitted on screwshafts or tubeshafts, in way of the bushes is to be not less then, when new, then by given by the following formula:
t = D+230 / 32 mm
where t= thickness of liner in mm
d=diameter of shaft or tubeshaft under the liner in mm
3.9.2 The thickness of a continuous liner between the bushes is to be not less then 0.75t
