2nd Motor Question- Solid Injection Fuel Pumps

Post by walker »

Hi,guys!
There are two questions in Second Class ME Engineering Knowledge - Motors:
-Describe a fuel pump for solid injection. Explain fully its operation and the material it is made of.
-Describe fuel injector for a 2-cycle solid injection common rail system. Name causes for defects and how to avoid them.
Does anybody have an information about a fuel pump for solid injection and fuel injector for a 2-cycle solid injection common rail system?Drop a link, please.
I just found a definition of solid injection system "A fuel injection system for a diesel engine in which a pump forces fuel through a fuel line and an atomizing nozzle into combustion chamber".

Tahank you martin_woodcock!
I know this site and use it time to time. :D I found that solid injection is an injection of fuel without air blast. But in modern practice every pump injects fuel without air blast,so I can describe any fuel pump.I described variable injection timing fuel pump.
