Engine information- Werskpoor

Post by jeremy »

hello i'm new to this forum.
hello, i'm new.
i've got a buddy in the mid coast who needs info
perhaps you could help.
has anyone heard of a work spor,,, or spoor? ....engine.?
its a good sized diesel.
i'm imagining its a dutch motor, but i really dont' know.
and i've had 0 luck googling it.
its in a 100 foot steel tug boat.
its:

* 1850 horse power @ 290 rpm.
* i'm told by the engineer that its fantastic power with big torque
* economical

it would take two weeks to get her running.

could anyone lead me to a source of information about this manufacturer please.
or any input would be appreciated.
or just to learn more about the power unit itself.
or even if thats the name.?@!!!
cheers

As JK says a minimum info required is the engine type. Stork have built many different engine types throughout the years, some with more success than others within both line and V engines. I have quite some of those manuals for the SWD. Can inform more when engine type in known.

I've put this into it's own thread so it doesn't get lost with the MaKs.

I'd like to take a guess that it's a TMAB 398, I've worked on plently of them. But we will wait and see what it really turns out to be.

Thank you for answer. However, I was contacting with Wartsila in my country, however they could not help me. So, I am looking for other option than Wartsila.
