I wonder if it is one of the catamarans such as the Inkster?
That would be a good job!

I believe the boats don't routinely use seagoing marine engineers if I remember correctly, but the main base for their marine operations is in Nanaimo, and that's where the maintenance gets done... where the position is for. Hauling out and major maintenance is done at Pat Bay in Sidney.

The larger Inkster is based out Prince Rupert, the slightly smaller and similar vessels, Lindsay, Nadon and Higgit, are based out of Nanaimo. If I remember correctly only two of those are in actual service, the third is mostly tied up in Victoria.

FYI, this is an onboard position. One week on the boat(catamaran) and one week off. Cushy job, good schedule, good people to work with. NOT AN OFFICE JOB

It sounds like a great job for Martin, right down his alley so to speak.

Too bad it is on the wrong side of the country for me. It sounds like a great pre-retirement position.
