Allis Chalmers Direct Acting Voltage Controller
Looking for a manual for a 1940's vintage Allis Chalmers ( R 250 ) direct acting rocker contact DC voltage regulator, 125 volts, 0.75 amps.,60.0 ohms, 1.2/10.0 amps. This for a 12V278A Cleveland diesel electric tug. Any recommendation on a refit to AVR. This unit excites the prime mover DC generator. I can't post a picture as the limit has been reached. First hand info welcome.

I assume you mean size limit on the photo? The easiest way to fix that is to right click on it and send it to email. A dialogue box should come up asking if you want to reduce the photo. Save it from the email message, then post it here.

How about this place?

It's a long shot, but they may be able to point you on to someone who has what you need.
Check around your area for a good marine electrical company, or go to Siemens for your upgrade options.

No luck with a Siemens crossover part. Here is a better shot.
