SAE 2012 Emission Control from Large Ships Symposium

September 13 - 14, 2012
Gothenburg, Sweden

Exhaust emissions from large ships contain significant levels of NOx, SOx, CO2 and particulate material. Once overlooked, there is mounting concern over the impact these pollutants have on the environment and human health. With new regulations pending, it is imperative that the technical dialogue be intensified among marine professionals as new designs will be required that address the need to reduce both fuel consumption and emissions.

Organized by SAE International, the International Association for Catalytic Control of Ship Emissions to Air (IACCSEA), and the Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems Association (EGCSA), this highly-anticipated symposium will prove essential in updating attendees on the pending emissions regulations and in profiling the technologies now available to address them.

Networking breaks throughout the symposium will provide ample opportunity for delegates to meet informally and raise issues with industry experts and other stakeholders. This event offers the perfect opportunity to build a strong global network of industry and technology experts. This will prove especially valuable in the next few years as the industry sets its course and sails into unchartered waters.
