DESCRIPTION OF ROLE
The Motorman is responsible to the First Engineer for the maintenance and operation of the engine room equipment.

Responsibilities
Maintenance in the engine rooms.
Act as Engine Room Watch Rating.
Assist the First Engineer in their assistance to the Chief Engineer in supporting the Master in conducting Shipboard Management Review in accordance to the ISM Code.

Requirements:
Engine Room Watch Rating Certificate
STCW Basic Safety
STCW Survival craft other than a fast rescue craft
Seaman's discharge book
Security Awareness with designated duties
Valid medical
Basic survival Training (BST) or HUET & HUEBA
First Aid
WHMIS
