The first monthly branch meeting of 2017 will take place at 7PM Thursday January 19 in the lower lounge of the Naden Naval Officers’ Wardroom near the dockyard entrance, at 1586 Esquimalt Road.
Alex Rueben Executive Director of the Industrial Marine Training & Applied Research Centre in Esquimalt will give a presentation on The Association of British Columbia Marine Industries [ABCMI] http://abcmi.ca/ The ABCMI was created to further and represent the interests of the industrial marine sector and its supply chain and to strengthen the industrial marine sector of British Columbia by creating a positive environment in which the industry can prosper and grow.
Members often arrive early to share a beverage with colleagues in the upstairs lounge. Spouses and guests are always welcome at branch meetings.
A NEW WESTERN MARINER STAND BY EDITOR IS REQUIRED – For members to continue receiving Western Mariner, a new editor for Stand By will be required by June 2017. If you are interested please contact Mike Weaver at michaelweaver /at/ shaw.ca
