The monthly meeting of the Vancouver Island Branch of the CIMarE will take place at 1900hrs on Thursday, 19 OCTOBER 2017 in the lower lounge of the Naden Naval Officer's Wardroom near the dockyard entrance, at 1586 Esquimalt Road.

Lieutenant Commander Mat Webb, the Marine Systems Engineering Officer at the Royal Canadian Navy's Fleet Maintenance Facility (FMF Cape Breton) in the HMC Esquimalt Dockyard will present a discussion on mechanical engineering issues within the local fleet. Given the complexity, sophistication, and quantity of mechanical systems aboard the Navy's "heavies", this should be a most interesting perspective.

Members often arrive early to share a beverage with colleagues in the upstairs lounge. Spouses and guests are always welcome at branch meetings.
