McAsphalt Marine Transportation Limited (MMTL) owns a fleet of two integrated tug and barge units: the Everlast and Norman McLeod, and the John J. Carrick and Leo A. McArthur.

MMTL is committed to providing customers with the best, most efficient black-oil transportation available on the Great Lakes and eastern seaboard.

The OPA 90–compliant, Lloyd’s Registered, double-hulled barges and dedicated tugs are the most modern hot-oil vessels available. They are equipped with sophisticated navigation-guidance equipment and are fully integrated with units through the use of an articouple linkage system.

MMTL is presently accepting applications on an ongoing basis for all licensed crew positions. Interviews will be scheduled based on availability. Any individuals holding STCW compliant qualifications for and experience in the following positions is encouraged to apply:

We currently have openings 3rd Mates and 3rd Engineers, but all applicants will have their resumes kept on hand for any future openings and those seeking other licensed positions are encouraged to apply. Please identify your preferred position when submitting your application to ensure you are considered only for those positions in which you have expressed an interest.

Details:

Minimum Qualifications: All applicants must hold Transport Canada compliant certifications, be legally able to work within Canada and the United States, and meet the minimum standards for each position. Experience in the Great Lakes region as well as the respective positions will be considered an asset.

Personal characteristics of an ideal candidate include being able to work well with others, strong leadership skills as well as exhibiting conscientious and trustworthy behaviour. A good sense of humor will also be an asset.
