So I have heard from a few people that the exams are being re-vamped and will be going multiple choice style all the way up to first class. I guess the widely varying marking standards across Canada and the outdated questions are why. I suppose that it will save on hours to mark them, good because often they take a month to mark in western Canada.

Does anyone have any idea when the new exams will come into effect?

Also wondering if you have say 1st class general done by the time the new exams come will you have to write the next one as written or multiple choice?

Probably a year or two for everyone to get the hang of what to expect on the new exams when up till now everyone is just studying the same question bank for the last 20 years.
