JOB SUMMARY: Rig Mechanic is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of the mechanical equipment.

PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Marine Diesel Mechanics Certificate or Equivalent Combination of Experience and Training
1 years experience as a Rig Mechanic on a 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
2+ years? experience with AKMH, MH Wirth and MH Crown Compensator equipment
Knowledge of technical calculations required for mechanical operations
Structured and organized mindset
High level of integrity
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background /Pre-Employment Screening Checks.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carry out mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic installation, maintenance, and repair in a safe and prudent manner
Perform daily inspections and maintenance on mechanical equipment
Maintain and repair mechanical systems and equipment
Troubleshoot and repair faulty mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment and tools
Identify and respond to abnormal operation conditions and/or patterns of equipment
Carry out periodic maintenance according to the maintenance system guidelines and coordinate that maintenance with supervisors and other department heads
Ensure that requirements concerning regulatory bodies are met in all cases of equipment repair and installation
Comply with the permit to work and isolation system
Maintain service reports and advise supervisor on condition of equipment and spare parts requirements
Other duties as assigned
