The Chief Engineer serves as the Engineer in charge and fully responsible of Canadian Adventure Charters (CAC) Inc, vessel operations and is responsible for the success of the Corporation. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the Chief Engineer is responsible for creating and implementing a clear sense of direction for the Corporation and its related businesses by defining, communicating, and overseeing the Corporation’s mission, goals, operating principles, and strategic actions. To design and develop CAC and CCC World-class State of the Art Green/Blue Mega Port and Oceanographic Research Laboratory. To develop CAC super luxury explore yacht hub and charter platform.

To work and collaborate closely with our team/teams of experts and specialists for charter management and operations of CAC main port facilities for our super luxury explorer yachts and deep sea submersibles

To work and collaborate closely with our teams to create and build our brand/product, website and global partnering networks

To promote Bonvista Bay, Newfoundland & Labrador ( Iceberg Alley) as the International Cross Road Intersection of the Seven Sea’s and Ocean Gateway into The Northwest Passage and Arctic regions and develop charter destinations within CAC selected charter operations route/ loop in to Newfoundland, to Labrador, Northwest Passage, Spain, Canary Islands, Bahamas, Caribbean, Mediterranean and Antarctica.

To oversee and manage CAC fleet of Ice-classed Explorer Vessels, Submersibles and Dive Operations for all Adventures Expeditions, Exploration, Treasure & Shipwreck Recovery, Underwater Film/ Documentary Entertainment- Climate Change/Global Warming/ Marine Research charter operations

All applicants must have previous experience in working Artic and/or Antarctica, including MED climate conditions

Minimum 5 Year’s Experience in Heavy Marine Offshore Commercial Industry

Minimum 5 Years Experience in Private Yachting Adventure/Exploration Industry

Minimum 10 Year’s Experience Minimum

Chief Engineer Certificates (STCW Endorsement)

Passenger Safety Management

Ship Security Officer Course

Helicopter Safety Management- Crash Training Course

Marine Advance First Aid Course

Risk Management Training Course

Safety Awareness Course

Radiotelephone Operator's (Restricted) Certificate

A valid Marine Medical Certificate

Vaccine passport-Canadian/USA/EU/Bahamas Pass port

Knowledgeable and efficient with Word/PDF, procurement- Ship Supply Management programs

Engineers will be required to hold CAC,s Mini Submarine Safety Management Course- Training will be provide.

Knowledgeable and experienced with ROV and sonar deep water operations is not a requirement yet an asset.

Personal/ Social appearance: Must be 100% at all times. All tattoos must be covered by sleeves, No Drinking or Smoking of Any Kind while on charters with clients/guest onboard.

Schedule: 8 weeks on/ 4 weeks off / 12 hour shift

CAC is seeking The Right Fit- personalities to join our great career adventure, expedition, exploration, deep sea dive, treasure & shipwreck recovery, climate change/global warming research program-onboard our fleet of luxury explorer yachts and submersibles.

Candidates MUST have experience running 40m to 80m vessels or greater and have the correct visas and Pass Ports to work in Canada, Baffin Island, Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, UK, EU, Canary Islands, Bahamas, USA, Antarctica/Globally.

Security clearance check- criminal record check, driver’s abstracts, alcohol and drug test, current passport, marine certificates and current medicals will all be required upon hiring.
