I generated the Exams, you should know a little bit about everything. It's more practical than theoretical, so studying won't help much if you haven't actually done the job. If you know your way around ands engine room, you'll have no problems.

GM 58 and 71 series engines were called screaming Jimmies, the blowers really didn't have any noise suppression. The Halifax class frigates has extensive noise suppression. On sound trials, the hydrophone people had to reset lower limits several times, because ships passing off Halifax were drowning...

As a retired Examiner, (retired as of last July) I would advise you to present a valid STCW Certificate of Competence. If your ticket has expired, you'll get nothing.
