THURSDAY 21 MARCH 2019
THE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE VANCOUVER ISLAND BRANCH OF CIMarE WILL HAVE A PRESENTATION
by
THE CANADIAN SCIENTIFIC SUBMERSIBLE FACILITY

DOUG BANCROFT AND KEITH TAMBURRI WILL BE PRESENTING INFORMATION VIA TEXT, VIDEO AND STILL IMAGERY ON THE REMOTELY OPERATED PLATFORM FOR OCEAN SCIENCES (ROPOS)

ROPOS is known as the world's most capable scientific submarine, for its versatility, efficiency, and operators.
Deep-sea thermal vent exploration, deployment of ocean observatories, maintenance of deep-sea facilities; ROPOS has been doing such tasks for 30 years.

As usual, the meeting will convene at 1900 in the lower lounge of the Naden Naval Officer's Wardroom
near the dockyard entrance, at 1586 Esquimalt Road.

Members often arrive early to share a beverage with colleagues in the upstairs lounge.
Spouses and guests are always welcome at branch meetings.

ROPOS invites us to encourage peers and associates to attend, particularly
if they are associated with Babcock and Navy robot sub work.
Reach out to any that you know....... !

Hope to see you there-------------
