Bursary and award for youth in Maritime Industry

Post by The Dieselduck »

Are you aged between 16 and 25? Are you also studying to work in the Maritime Industry? Or are you perhaps at the beginning of your career in the Maritime industry and would appreciate industry recognition and a bursary towards something you really need?

For the third year in a row, Mercator Media are awarding a bursary (worth up to £850 or equivalent value in relevant currency) to help one young maritime professional further advance their studies, training, or career.

All you have to do is make a short informal video showing us why you should win the ECM Young Person’s Development Award 2020.

Whether you use the video to show us projects you have completed, or projects you are currently working on, or even just something that demonstrates your passion for the industry! The video should be no less than 1 minute and no more than 3 minutes long. Please avoid offensive language or imagery in your submission, as the winning video is likely to be shown on awards night to all our Seawork industry influencers and delegates.

The winner will not only receive a bursary contribution towards anything that will help them achieve their professional ambitions, but also a trophy that will set them apart from their peers, not to mention an invitation to an exclusive awards ceremony!

To be considered, just fill in your details and paste your video link in the box below. Then beneath that (in no more than 150 words) just tell us what you would like to spend the bursary on (something to aid your professional development only). Do not worry about spelling, grammar, or language proficiencies, we just want to get an idea of what you’re like and what you’re capable of.

If you have any questions or problems, please email; [email protected]

Good luck!
