Another Marine Engineer answers the telegraph for the final time.
Harold's son Peter followed in his father's footsteps becoming a Marine Engineer graduating from the Coast Guard College in 1976

My Dad and Harold were chums while they were growing up in the Greater Weymouth Area of Nova Scotiai the 20's and 30's. Fast forward to the mid-60's when Dad and Mom took our family to PEI for a summertime tenting vacation. While sailing to PEI on the ABEGWAIT-of-the-day Harold, who was Chief at the time, took Dad and I on a tour of the Engine Room. Even though I understood nothing of what I saw or heard the impression I was left with from that tour was, "THIS is where the action is!" I was not wrong.
