Federal government client requires a Small Craft Acquisitions Project Manager to oversee the implementation of project services related to Small Craft Acquisitions by direction of the National Project Manager.
Role and Responsibilities
The Contractor will provide project management services in support of the implementation of the assigned project.
The tasks are:
Coordinate national project implementation work plans and estimates;
Coordinate the preparation of assigned project documentation such as but not limited to:
- Project implementation Plans
- Monthly National Project Reports
- Project Change Requests
- Project Closeout Reports
- Project acquisition Plans
Assist the PM to oversee the phased implementation of the approved plan;
Assess and update project risk register in response to cost, schedule and scope changes;
Assist with the development of national contract Statement of Work and Technical Statement of Requirements;
Prepare briefings material and information for the PM on project status;
Assist the National Project Manager with the monthly budget reporting and follow up with Regions to ensure the project forecast and expenditure reports are accurate;
Coordinate project activities related to the preparation of project procurement documentation with Regions and Public Works and Government Services Canada.
Qualifications and Experience
The proposed resource must have a Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering degree;
The proposed resource must have a relevant Professional Certification (Relevant is defined Diploma of Technology in Naval Architecture, Marine Systems Design or Marine Engineering);
The proposed resource must demonstrate experience managing small craft acquisitions projects related to refurbishment or renewal of assets;
The proposed resource must have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a project manager or working as a deputy Project Manager or Project Officer;
The proposed resource must have 3 years of demonstrated experience developing and maintaining project schedules;
The proposed resource must have over 3 yeras of experience with Microsoft Project (MS Project);
The proposed resource must have over 3 years of experience managing budgets.
Education and Certifications
Minimum education required: University Degree or College Diploma
