In this role, working as part of the regional team, you will be accountable for the planning, coordinating, scheduling and execution of all maintenance activities at 6 terminals across the region. You will also be the point of contact for day-to-day oversight to the implementation of contractor management at the terminals.

You will use your expertise to:

Develop and steward major maintenance events including budget at each terminal
Collaborate with operations regarding maintenance work that impacts day-to-day operations and long-term improvements
Review, approve and prioritize work requests and manage maintenance workload to meet performance targets
Assist with preparation of overall annual maintenance budget as well as manage key performance indicators
Develop and implement contractor management program to oversee contractors responsible for maintenance on terminal equipment
Manage incident reports and investigations
Ensure maintenance programs, processes and tools are implemented to properly manage terminal asset integrity
Ensure implementation of legislative as well as company policies and standards
Schedules, plans and leads safety initiatives at the site such as safety meetings and supports front line initiatives

We’d like to review your application if you have…

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

Five or more years of maintenance and operations experience, preferably in oil and gas
Excellent knowledge and understanding of equipment and product transportation modes; including truck, marine, rail and pipeline
Non-authoritative leadership skills to influence terminal operations
A Bachelor’s degree, technology diploma, or trade certification
Proven knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (i.e. SAP)
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work professionally with diverse groups
A highly motivated self-starter that collaborates and maintains positive relationships across different teams
A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record

Preference for:

Knowledge and awareness of contractor management requirements for engagement of contract services
Strong understanding of maintenance program development, best practices, tools, applications, and KPI’s

Where you’ll be working, your work schedule, and other important information:

You will work out of our Edmonton Terminal office in Sherwood Park, located at 801 Petroleum Way
Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
Occasional travel with overnight to other terminals will be required
Work can be stressful due to the wide variety of issues that may require attention at the same time as well high need for safety and environmental compliance
You will be required to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor. This includes working in the office as well as the field during challenging weather conditions
