$30–$38 an hour - Full-time


Canada Pump and Power is growing! We have new projects starting soon and need your expertise!

We are currently looking for experienced Marine Equipment Operators to work in the Fort McMurray region. Marine Equipment Operators operate marine equipment such as boats, barges and dredges. This is a 10/4 rotation with Camp Accommodations provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow company processes and company Safe Work Policies, Procedures and Practices
Work within Company, Customer, and other existing standards and regulations pertaining to their scope of work
Reporting and rectifying of potential hazards, accidents, and near misses
Perform Field Level Risk Assessments (FLRA) (Nektar)
Operate marine equipment such as boats, barges, and dredges
Other tasks as required by your supervisor

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Class 5 driver’s license
Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A3 course completion and Small Vessel Operator Proficiency (SVOP) are required
Pleasure Craft Operator Certification

Prerequisites:

Must be able to pass drug & alcohol test
Ability to read, write and understand English
3 years of experience operating marine equipment
Criminal Record Check
Completion and passing of pre-employment quiz
Must be able to provide proof of vaccination

Work Environment:

Interactions with other Employees, Client, and Sub-Contractors
Occasionally exposed to noisy and/or wet environments
Occasionally exposed to inclement weather conditions

Physical Demands:

Able to work long day and/or night shifts up to 12 hours long with irregular break schedule
Capable of moving over and around obstacles
Capable of lifting large or heavy loads sometimes up to 20 kg

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Boating/Barging/Dredging: 3 years (preferred)
