Full Job Description

This position will complete course development for High Voltage Breaker training as well as foundations of electricity type courses for delivery to Marine Engineers on the west coast. The requirement to have this training will be mandated when the new Marine Personnel Regulations come into effect in 2023.

General
- The ETO position is based out of the Ladysmith Campus.

Management

The position would develop the Basic and Advanced High Voltage Breaker training courses in accordance with the IMO Model courses. The position could convert to an instructor position, if the course developer desires, once Transport Canada approves the courses for delivery.

Training will be delivered on WMI’s new Wartsila High Voltage Breaker in Ladysmith BC.

Key success factors:

- This is a position ideally suited for a retired or retiring Marine Electrician or Electro-Technical Officer.
- Applicants must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

Job Type: Full-time

8 hour shift
