Fourth Class Marine Engineer (URGENT RELIEF POSITION)

We are currently accepting resumes for experienced and qualified Fourth Class Motorship Engineers, for work off South Western Nova Scotia to fill an urgent relief position as the Second Engineer from August 1-15. Potential longer term opportunities are also available.
Monitor performance, maintenance and repair of all machinery and electrical equipment
Carry out refueling procedures at various ports of call
Ensure that proper engine room watchkeeping arrangements are in place
Ensure that the vessel’s maintenance program is implemented and maintained
Ensure that adequate engine room stores, supplies and spare parts are available on board for the intended voyage

High School diploma or equivalent
Valid STCW Engineering Endorsement (Minimum Fourth Class Engineer, Motorship COC)
STCW Basic Safety
STCW Survival Craft
STCW Advanced Firefighting
Valid and Unlimited Transport Canada Marine Medical
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to operate software applications relevant to position
Ability to read, write, and understand English
Proven track record of relevant offshore experience in the marine sector
Valid Canadian Passport
