RINA is currently recruiting for a Canada Marine Inspection Services Surveyor to join its office in Montreal within the Marine Americas Region Division
Mission
Primary function is to perform the following tasks:
P & I surveys,
Hull & Machinery surveys,
Flag state surveys,
Vessel condition surveys,
Sale & Purchase surveys,
On / Off Hire surveys of ships, barges, and floating construction equipment,
Towage approvals,
Bunker surveys,
Draft Surveys,
Cargo damaged surveys
Marine Warranty surveys
Contribute to the business development in East Coast Region
Job Responsibilities
Acts as a professional specialist for the organization in the application of related Rules, Regulations, requirements, concepts, principles and processes;
Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys performed;
Maintains survey files in an orderly and up-to-date manner in area of responsibility;
Maintains active awareness of new working methods and developments affecting the technical scope of assigned responsibilities;
Recommends new approaches to problems encountered;
Engages in contact with clients to solve problems within area of expertise.Surveying various types of maritime equipment, structures, machinery and cargo-handling equipment and cargo products.
Manage clients' queries on a daily basis
Contribute towards the development and growth for Hayes Stuart Activity in Ontario Region
Demonstrate a high level of effectiveness and commitment.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General
Master’s Degree in Naval Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
