Reporting to the Chief Engineer, we are seeking a Deck Engineer/ Cable Engine Driver on our vessel the IT Integrity. The primary focus will be to operate and maintain the Cable Equipment on deck with support in the engine room as directed by the C/E.

His/Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

The maintenance of the Cable Equipment and their auxiliary’s
Preforming tasks or assignments as directed diligently, safely and efficiently
Operating of Cable machinery on Deck during operations
Assist in Maintenance of engine room machinery as directed by the C/E
Reporting of defects or deficiencies to the C/E
Understanding and adhering to Safety Management System
Assisting other departments when required

Required Competencies:

Experience as a ship’s engineer
All necessary certificates in hand
Proficient in the English language
Experience in welding is an asset

Required Certificates:

3rd or 4th Class TC Certification preferred
Marine Medical
STCW MED
Seaman's Book
Basic First Aid

Interested and available for national and international travel. A valid passport is required.

Salary: $1.00-$3.00 per year

12 hour shift
